Factoid: Oldest piece of the New Testament

The oldest known fragment of a manuscript of the gospel of John is 3 1/2 inches and is dated to  approximately125 CE. It was found in Egypt in the 1920s.

It records portions of John 18 in Greek on both sides.

the Jews, “For us it is not permitted to kill
anyone,” so that the word of Jesus might be fulfilled, which he

  1. Wow! All that on that tiny of a fragment! Each of one of those letters must carry a wallop! Or is this not a picture of the entire fragment?
